Material Synthesis

The focus here will be on optimisation and improvement of all the individual components that make up the meso structured solar cell (MSSC) with the following objectives:

Synthesis and creation of manufacturable routes to new perovskite absorbers with improved photovoltaic properties; design and development of tailored hole-transporting materials with optimized energy levels; maximise transport properties; design and development of an optimum low temperature processed scaffold for MSSCs; realise an optimum TCO n-type collection layer for MSSC; realise a processible highly transparent, low resistance low-loss tunnel-junction for multi-junction and single junction perovskite solar cells.
